Hello World! My name is Mari Luz and welcome to my Bricoydeco TV channel where today I am going to show you how to make a custom frame to hide the electrical panel and the manhole covers. Isn't that cool? [Applause] Although there are already standard solutions to hide the electrical panel, it is true that these solutions are not always adapted to what we need. In this specific case, the gap that remains from the panel to the column is very small, it does not even reach two centimeters. but we also have in the upper part the covers of the communication registers and also the bell in short, when you arrive home, you see this and the first thing you think is that it is horrible and for this reason I have created a custom solution that hides the box from the lower part to the upper part of the manhole covers for this I have inspired in the lighthouse of my hometown and of which you will find more information in the link that I will leave you in the information of this video in the first place I drew the silhouette from I took a photograph and made a self- adhesive vinyl template, then I traced it on plywood [Music] the next step was to cut the figure with the sieve Marquetry wood can also be cut with a bowsaw although it requires patience as it takes longer or buy already cut wooden silhouettes immediately what I did was decorate them with different shades of Cedria lasures el asur is a protector for wood that does not It forms a layer but penetrates through its pores and protects it from the inside, allowing it to breathe.
For this reason, stains are ideal for outdoor furniture since they do not crack as they allow the humidity of the wood to be regulated. In this specific case, its use goes to be decorative and it will serve to give color to the different pieces but highlighting the grain of the wood for this I have used several techniques that I will explain below for example in the house of the lighthouse what I have done has been to apply a first layer of oak color and a second coat on the chestnut-colored roof, on the other hand, on the lighthouse, what I have done has been to apply a layer of stone gray and then I have attenuated it with a towel ita wet to obtain a duller tone once the lasur has dried I have painted the railing with a [Music] marker to make the frame of the painting I have cut four slats with the miter saw although you can also use a jigsaw then I have screwed the ends together to form a rectangle [Music ] then I painted the frame with Cedria white satin enamel [Music] the next step was to cut several tongue-and-groove wooden floor boards with the miter saw although you can also cut with the miter saw jigsaw then I have fixed them to the frame with mounting adhesive then I have applied would have to pacific gray in the lower part and I have combined two shades of blue in the upper part for this I have mixed mist blue with traffic white it must be taken into account that Lasures contain a dye made of transparent iron oxide particles that allow the grain of the wood to be seen and protect it from the sun due to this reason they can be mixed together but it is not convenient to apply conventional dyes as they would affect the quality and level of protection of the blue [Music] the last step was to fix some DM letters and the different pieces that had been cut with carpenter's glue previously [Music] once the glue hardened, I painted the door of the lighthouse house with wenge-colored lasur applied with a cotton pad, which is another way of applying lasur to get a more homogeneous layer [Music] [Music] and how can you see by the final result the lasur is not only a product that protects the wood but we can also give it a decorative use to create paintings as original and unique as this one I hope this video has been useful and interesting if so I would greatly appreciate your like and that you share it and if you don't want to miss the next ones, subscribe to the channel and hit the bell so that the notifications arrive, I'll say goodbye until next v ideo that will be very soon and I'll tell you in advance since it's also about lights, see you!
