UPM ProFi Piazza One installation video

UPM Piazza One mounted on UPM ProFi composite litter. This video does not replace the complete installation instructions. The complete installation instructions must be followed carefully. Failure to follow the instructions may result in product deterioration and void the warranty. Use the terrace calculator, product overview and installation instructions at www.upmprofi.dk The terrace calculator shows what materials you need, and the opportunity to view and optimize the design and substructure.

The planks move longitudinally at changing temperatures. Plan and keep the number of end assemblies to a minimum. Minimize end joints with crossbar. Make sure that the terrace is well ventilated and that the water can run off. A solid and stable substructure is necessary to minimize movements in the terrace. Use only UPM ProFi composite litter or small Alu Support Rail on a flat and hard surface. This type of screed construction must be attached to the substrate for each meter. Make a rigid spreading frame with angle brackets. The composite joists and planks are machined in the same way and with the same tools as for wooden planks. Support each plank end with its own litter and secure with its own clips. Attach double litter under 2 plank ends at a distance of 40 mm. The CC distance between litter for UPM ProFi Piazza One is max. 35 cm. Attach the crossbeams with angle brackets to the longitudinal joists to form a robust frame. The CC distance between the crossbeams is a maximum of 2 m. Use rubber pads to compensate for minor unevenness. The CC distance between rubber pads is max. 30 cm. Important! Always attach the ironing structure to the substrate.

Use a large Alu Support Rail or hardwood etc. approved beams for a raised terrace. Shorten the planks at approximately the same temperature. Mount UPM Profi starter clips on the spreading edge when mounting the first row of planks. When mounting against a solid wall, ventilation grilles must be installed or a ventilation distance of min. 2o mm. Mount the first plank by pushing the lower groove edge into the starting clip. Make sure that the plank ends are aligned and perpendicular to the iron structure. Use Wing clips to mount the UPM ProFi Piazza One planks. Use a rubber mallet or glue clamps to assemble the planks correctly. Support each plank end with its own litter and secure with its own clips. If the surface is colder than 20 ° C, leave a gap of 3 mm. If the surface is 20 ° C or more, no gaps (0 mm) are left. Important! Fix each plank in the middle of the lower part of the groove to the spreading structure with a fixing screw together with wing-clips. This prevents movement on the terrace and ensures that the plank remains in place. First, remember to pre-drill with a 3 mm drill bit.

Close the surface with UPM ProFi Alu rails. This will prevent leaves, food or other objects from falling between the planks. The Alu Rail rail supports the plank edges and makes the whole terrace firmer. Cut the aluminum rail a little shorter (5 mm) than the terrace planks. Matching colored cover strips are available to cover the sides of all UPM Profi planks. All UPM Profi composite products can be machined with ordinary woodworking tools. The cover strip is mounted with a screw in the spreading frame construction. The distance between the screws must be max. be 300 mm. UPM ProFi patio planks have excellent stain resistance. Clean the patio regularly so that it remains beautiful for years. Read more: www.upmprofi.dk.
