TOOLS OF THE TRADE: 10 Awesome Woodworking Tools You Must See

woodpeckers introduces the du-x angle drilling   table solid support for drilling at
any angle between 0 and 90 degrees   the duax consists of two components the base
mounts to your drill press table then the   adjustable angle table mounts to the base in
one of four different orientations the correct   orientation will depend on your project and
your material but there's always one that works laser cut teeth mesh to locate
the table at every full degree but you can lock the table at
any intermediate setting too with stainless steel quadrants on both sides
of the table and tight tolerant hinges at   the end you'll get rock solid support a fully
adjustable fence puts the dual in dual axis table   set it at any angle from perfectly parallel to
dead square there's a scale for accurately setting   the angle of the fence when it is at the base of
the table but it can be adjusted anywhere along   the length of the table and set to a square or a
bevel gauge now the duax table fence and stop are   going to get your material in exactly the right
position but you have to keep it there while you   drill now you can put an f-clamp on there but
let's take a look at the optional clamping kit   the clamping kit includes a wedge clamp
two pivot clamps and two button stops   the wedge clamp holds your stock securely against
the fence the pivot clamps adjust for stock of   varying thickness and keep the work secure to
the table the button stops make it possible to   drill equidistance from the edge of a circular
object square the button stop to the table   bring your round stock against the button stops
and you're always the same distance from the bit the duax angle drilling table is the perfect
answer to all of your angle drilling projects and   you never have to worry about getting your main
table back to square order yours today rockler's   router floating jig is a jig that makes it fast
and easy to route evenly spaced glutes when you   open the package there are two low friction
underside rails that straddle your work piece   one of the underside rails remains fixed while
the other is adjustable allowing the jig to   slide smoothly along boards up to nine and a
half inches wide which is wide enough to cut   flutes evenly spaced over 8 inches wide the router
mounts to a universal pre-drilled acrylic base   which slides laterally to route out repetitive
flutes the acrylic base rides along a chamfered   edge and can be locked down to the jig the
rewritable and erasable strip along the jig   is used to make indexing marks for evenly spaced
flutes first you'll want to attach your router to   the acrylic base the whole configuration fits most
common handheld routers however if you're unable   to align the holes to your router base you can
drill additional holes to accommodate your router   you'll then want to adjust your
rail to encapsulate your work piece   with the fluting router jig laid on top of your
workpiece mark the location of your flutes next   zero out the metal scale with your first mark
then you'll lock down the acrylic base and   plow out the flute on your work piece finally
slide the base to your next mark lock it down   make your next plowing operation and so on until
your piece is done and there you have it evenly   spaced flutes made with a handheld router yet

the saw guide is a must have in any woodworking   shop or on any job site introducing the
new two-in-one clamping work table and   sawhorse from pony built toth with high impact
construction this worktable and sawhorse offers   the next evolution in innovation and versatility
in work supports included with purchase are two   12-inch jorgensen easy hold trigger clamps
each with 300 pounds of clamping force   along with two large and two small bench dogs
when the work table is set up and ready for use   it offers an adjustable working height of up to 32
inches and a 31 by 25 inch tabletop surface area   all while supporting a weight capacity of 500
pounds the surface is equipped with easy to read   measurement markings for a quick and convenient
reference and 36 holes that are perfectly placed   to utilize the included bench dogs and a multitude
of combinations of use when needed the easy hold   trigger clamps can be easily incorporated to work
alongside the work table for horizontal clamping   first remove the clamp head by pressing the
quick release button and repositioning it on the   opposite side then place the clamp's rail inside
of one of the four channels integrated into the   tabletop and pull the orange tab located on the
side of the table to allow the clamp to lock into   position and for vertical clamping the clamp rail
can be inserted into one of the table top holes   then by reattaching the clamp head to the rail
from underneath the tabletop users can create   the necessary downforce needed to hold objects
into position for even more functionality the   table sides fold down and transform the table
into a lower profile sawhorse which can hold   up to one thousand pounds beneath the working
surface is a generously sized storage shelf   the frame also provides extra storage for bench
dogs when not in use the adjustable legs include   non-marring feet to ensure grip and stability on
any surface for transport and storage the unit   collapses into an easy flat design and for safety
use the two rubber latches lock the unit down   all backed by a limited three-year warranty
pony jorgensen clamps without compromise three millimeter micro tool set
this set features five micro tools   comfortable ergonomically designed ash handles
and high carbon steel blades all made in the usa our micro tools are perfect
for miniatures and detailing they also clean up ridges created by
gouge cuts and refined tight corners perfect for carving fine details like mouths
and eyes and adding fur and feather texture this is the wen me175p miter saw protractor
it's an incredibly useful tool especially   if you're cutting crown molding face boards or
doing other finishing work in this video we'll   get to know the tool and go over how to use it
let's jump in this protractor is made from cnc   machined aluminum and its scales are laser
engraved which means you get maximum accuracy   with every measurement and don't have to worry
about losing accuracy over time speaking of scales   there are two one for making miter cuts also
called double cuts and one for making single cuts   the miter scale is the inner scale the outer
pointer on the wing points to the angle on the   miter scale this scale is used for making cuts
that require two work pieces coming together   for example say you have two pieces of baseboard
coming together at a corner for that you would   use the miter skill there are two types of corners
this is an exterior corner also called an outside   corner to measure it we place one wing against
one wall and the other wing swings around two   like this not all walls come together at a perfect
90 degrees which is what this tool will tell you   flip it over and use the arrow on the
outside and read the scale on the inside   and we can see that we're getting an indication
of 46 degrees and we can take that directly   over to our miter saw best of all you can just
read your miter saw's setting from the scale   and transfer it directly to the saw we can take
our miter saw and set it directly to 46 degrees   that will give us a perfect cut make that
cut twice once on each piece and they'll   come together really nicely this is an interior
corner also called an inside corner to measure it   we place one wing against one wall and the other
wing swings around to the other wall like this   same deal as before we can read the setting
directly off the scale right now we're getting   an indication of 45 degrees outer arrow inner
scale and we can set it directly to 45 degrees   same as before that'll give us a clean joint so
we've gone over how to use the miter scale for   double cuts now let's go over single cuts this is
the type of cut you'd make if you had for example   a piece of baseboard coming up against the bathtub
the work piece isn't meeting anything else not   touching another work piece so you only have to
make one cut so you use the single cut scale which   is the pointer on the inside scale which says
single cut and that points to the reading on the   outer scale so let's imagine that this table is
the floor and this wall is the bathtub same deal   before we place one wing of the tool on the floor
like this and bring the other wing up make sure   both are flush against the work pieces we can read
the miter saw's setting directly off the scale   this time we're going to use the single
cut arrow and the scale on the outside   it's important to note that the scale on the
outside has gradations and 2 degrees so you have 0   2 4 6 8 10.

looks like we're getting a reading
of half a degree maybe 1 degree if it were a   little bit further off say like this it would
be just under 4 degrees and again we can take   that over to the miter saw make that cut once and
we'll be nice and flush every time and finally if   you need to make any adjustments there's a screw
on the back here if you ever need to adjust how   tight or loose the wings are you can just adjust
this screw using a four millimeter hex wrench   also there is a hole at the end of each wing those
holes are great for mounting the gauge on a peg.
