Toggle Clamping Aid Makes Helpful Third Hand

If your workbench or work table don’t have bench dog holes or T-tracks, clamping things to them can be awkward. Here’s an easy fix that I use all the time: fasten a toggle clamp to the middle of a scrap that’s around 4″ wide and at least as long as your work surface is wide. Clamp the scrap to the edges of the bench wherever needed to put the toggle clamp in good range for what you want to clamp down. Now you have a third hand to help hold things steady!
