MASSIVE 135L Burl + Resin Dining Table

Hey everyone it's Dylan and Charlie from The Black Forest Wood Company we're back again for another week here in the shop so this time, it's pretty exciting! We're going out to Fernie and we're delivering a pretty substantial furniture package there's a dining table, a bench shelves a bar top and a desk in there we're gonna mostly focus on the dining table in this video because, if I'm being honest we did run into some issues and the height on their island is wrong so now our bartop isn't going to reach the ground with some other parts of the delivery so in a future video, we're going to show you guys us finishing this delivery and actually show you guys what went wrong but, I hope you guys enjoy seeing this, you'll also get to see the process on the table and it would mean a lot to Charlie actually if you guys subscribed and left a like, that's his favourite thing in the world right Charlie? yes yeah, see? He just said yes so please leave a like, please subscribe.

Thank you guys! So now we are working on this claro walnut burl dining table, which is actually for the same client who ordered the river rock countertop we're doing some shelves and a bench for them as well, but these are the two biggest pieces So this is all from that video where we were milling I think like 10,000 pounds of claro walnut burl we can tag that, that's when Gerry came and did this so it's all been dried here in-house and this is probably the biggest table we've done with these pieces so far So after we pour the table we flatten it on the CNC and sand it and then it's ready for finish so in here, me and Sagar are actually applying the Osmo 1101 Extra-Thin well I guess just Sagar, cause I'm actually filming him but, he's applying the Extra-Thin and that's just going to help to seal the wood before we follow it up with the Polyx Then what you're seeing here is Brad assembling the big X-base this is also the largest x-base we've ever done, and we can't go any bigger with our CNC so we might just need a new CNC to fix that! Now, naturally, this table wouldn't be easy, it wouldn't just be on the main floor This has gotta go up to the second floor of this house.

So luckily, the home builder had some machinery on-site that could zoom boom this up into the hole in the side of the house. It's actually going to go onto their deck so we had to do the base first, which wasn't that nerve-wracking and then we had to do the top, which was definitely a lot more nerve-wracking Well, I hope you guys enjoyed seeing that process. Obviously, the dining table turned out really, really well it was the bartop and the shelves that gave us some issues, but we'll show you guys in the coming weeks what happened there.

Something else completely unrelated to all this, Charlie today actually had a playdate with another schnauzer I think it's one of the first times he's met another schnauzer since he left his litter. So if you guys keep watching, you guys can see their little playdate. But thank you again for watching, and just taking the time to give us your support It really, really means a lot to us! and we'll see you guys next week!.
