March cabinet sales up 17.9% YOY

 

RESTON, Va. – Cabinet sales rose 17.9% in March 2021 compared to the last year, continuing the trend of year-over-year sales growth for the industry. According to participating members in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s monthly Trend of Business Survey, custom sales were up 19.1%, semi-custom increased 20.3% and stock sales increased 16.1% in March compared to the same period in 2020.

Cabinet sales were also on the rise in the month-to-month comparison, KCMA reported. Overall sales were up 25.2% in March compared to February. Custom sales were up 21.5%, semi-custom sales up 20.3%, and stock sales increased 29.6%.

The KCMA Trend of Business Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is a major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. The association has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than 40 years.
