Making a hand made Wooden Hammer – NEMICO-LABS

Picking a log of hardwood. Removing the bark. Cutting a section for the hammer head. Now to make the handle. Once again using the same hardwood. Boring a hole for the handle. You can use a hand drill, but a drill press is much easier. Now to sand before bonding the handle to the head. The handle and hammer head have been bonded with wood glue. Now, more sanding. Treating it with fire. For looks, and to help seal up the wood. Now to treat with a non-drying oil. Linseed or Olive oil work well for this. Now to test it out….
