Make A Zero Clearance Table Saw Insert From Acrylic

https://youtube.com/watch?v=kkv2FECckig

– Hey, welcome to the shop. Today, I'm gonna show you how I built this acrylic, zero
clearance table saw insert. Quick, simple, let's get to it. (upbeat music) (saw running) (upbeat music) Okay, so, the next step here is I have to mark out where I'm gonna router material away from
the edge of this thing, where these leveling screws set. When I made this one, took too
much material off the sides because there's no lip
right here and right here. There's only support, a
support lip here and here. So I'm gonna be a little bit more careful this time how I route this.

So I'm gonna try not to
take too much material off. (upbeat music) Okay, so here's the moment
of truth with this thing. I gotta drill a hole in it, so you need your finger in
it to pull it out of the saw. And add a little bit of airflow. However, this is acrylic,
and acrylic does not like to have holes drilled
in it, in my experience. Every time I've ever drilled
a hole in acrylic, it cracks. So, I don't know, hopefully,
I don't break this and have to start over again. We'll see. (upbeat music) Sweet, it worked. Worked pretty good, actually. Looks good, nice and clean, I like it. (upbeat music) This is CA Glue, basically
Krazy Glue with an activator. And once you spray the activator on there, you've got about two
seconds before it cures. (blowing) There we go. Done. (upbeat music) Hey, everyone, thanks for watching.
