Over time, fine cuttings begin to clog the lower haul-off. It's best to start by disassembling the dial. In my case, sharp and rushing plywood fragments managed to pierce the spiro. OK, if we do not have the main dial removed yet – take it off. ATTENTION! If the saw is equipped with a scorer, it will be very important to lower it as much as possible at this stage… just in case. If the scoring unit is started before its hole in the insert is ready and widened, the belt driving the scoring unit may break.
Don't ask me how I know it;) We disassemble the wedge, tighten the bolt so that it is not loose. Time for the first try-ons and precise leveling of the new insert. The set includes clamping screws that will facilitate flushing the surface. ATTENTION! Podcinak abandoned? Check! I recommend using an old saw blade to cut the hole. This is not a job for a new sharp blade – the plywood has a lot of resistance. It is best to do it quietly, in installments, so that it does not heat up. Alternatively, you can only cut a little to find the center, and cut the rest using a different method, e.g. with a lamella, milling machine or jigsaw. Now you can slowly raise the cutter that has been switched on. The scorer should already be positioned in the main axis of the blade. In order to raise the scorer, loosen the lock (upper screw on the left), and with the lower screw you can gently lift the disc, but only enough to mark the exact position. That's enough, the rest in a moment by hand or with a slat, jigsaw, etc. Other ways to make holes, you can see in the video in the description.
It remains for us to cut a hole for the wedge. One method is to use a jigsaw – preferably with a saw blade that has fine teeth or teeth pointing downwards. Beginning of the hole approx. 38mm from the edge to the point where the disc cut, pay attention to the position of the appropriate side. This cutout can also be made with a slat or on a sliding table (details in the description). Now it's time for the hole for the scoring saw blade. It should be wider and longer – so that there is clearance to the settings. You can drive several times at different heights. The final assembly remains and it's ready :).
