What's up guys, I am Rob. Welcome to my channel. So for the last couple of days
I've been receiving the same request… …over and over again. What? To make Thor's Hammer. It's not true I don't
ignore your requests… …or don't try to fulfill them. All my efforts are in
the direction of figuring… …out the best possible way to make it. And it's fair to say,
that today I have found one. But before I tell you that,
I've a small request. See that button,

everytime I post a new video. So let's make Thor's Hammer. Get ready, it's time for some DIY.
Why? Because I love it. To make Thor's hammer, you can
search for references on the internet. You'll find multiple designs on it… …from his different movies. So you guys can choose and
decide which one you want to make. I am thinking I'll do a
mix-match of couple of designs. So let's start. To make the head of the hammer,
I'll use this plastic can. As you can see,
the shape is almost like Thor's hammer. This is perfect. But obviously,
this handle and cap won't work. So I'll cut this out
and only use the bottom half. This part. And for the other half,
I'll use another can. Simple. So let's cut this. So we have our two halves
nicely cut using a cutter. These are the bottom halves,
which put together… …will become the hammer head. Look at that. Perfect design. Looks really nice.
I am really happy with this. Next I will stick these
two together using a sticky tape. Let's do that. Alright…you can see that
the hammer's head is ready. And now let's make the handle.
For the handle I'll use this torch… As you can see it has a very sleek design. And it also has a
nice texture and pattern. So its perfect. And it will look pretty
good with the hammer head. So that looks pretty nice. Another very interesting thing… If I turn this on… Then our can begins to glow. Look at that. This way I can make this
into a cool lamp or a night light. So let's cut a hole here,
let's make an outline first. There you go. Look at that. Its easily going inside the hole. But I just noticed a small problem. Look at that. When I put the torch
inside and switch it on… …there's a pattern of this light. The light is too sharp now.
When I checked first the
light was getting diffused. And it was giving us a nice glow. But now it's giving a weird pattern. So for that…I'll stick
a piece of tape here… …so that the light gets
diffused and won't be sharp. And it works. Look at that. The light's getting diffused. So this is perfect,
and now we can move one. We've the basic structure
of the hammer ready. But before we stick these together
I am going to add some more details… …so it looks more impressive. And for that I'll use my favorite,
super-easy-to-use material. Foam Sheet. So let's do that. So I am shaping these black
foam sheets according to my reference. And give it a little metallic
look with a silver acrylic colour… …so the hammer looks more realistic. Alright…so all the pieces are ready. It's got a nice metallic finish,
as you can see. As soon as they dry up,
I'll stick it on the hammer… …using super glue. So let's do that. Alright, all the pieces have been stuck. And the hammer head's complete.
Well, almost complete.
There are still some portions left. The places where I want to add a pattern. It's got a good finish. You can see… …the silver acrylic is
giving it a good metallic look. I'll put a coat of acrylic
in this area as well. And while it's still wet,
and hasn't dried up yet… …I'll use a toothpick to make a pattern. So the light will pass through
the portions I'll remove the paint from. And it will look really interesting. So let's do that. Alright. I've added
some detailing here as well. Look at that. It's done. Let's keep it aside to dry. And while it's drying up,
we'll add some details on the torch. Alright, to add details on
the torch I am going to use these. This is Faw Leader, meaning fake leather. I've already rolled one
strip and glued it together. This will make the strap which
I will stick on the back of the handle. And we'll wrap this think strip
all around the torch just like this. The design I saw on the internet
was something similar to this one.
We'll wrap it around
like this and stick it. So let's do that. So we've finished our
leather detailing as well. The handle looks pretty nice. Now let's attach it with the head. Here's the hammer head. Let's insert this. There you go. Finally our hammer is ready. I think this looks pretty awesome. Now let's turn off the
lights and turn this on. So how did you like Thor's hammer. Look…whenever I make anything… …I try to add a little mad twist.
