How To Make A Painting and Build A Narrow Wooden Frame | Art and Woodworking Project

In this episode we're going to make this
amazing painting and wooden frame that goes along with it. It's inspired by a product that my wife found at Target. Here's the Target website where my wife found it and the thing that bothered me the most about this is that the frame that they actually are selling you at Target is made of plastic and that's just sacrilege because i'm a woodworker and i have to have a wooden frame so i told my wife don't buy that i'll make
one for you and so here's the project on how i did
it.

So this is the target painting that my
wife wants me to replicate. I'm here in my basement and i've set up a blank canvas right over here. Let's get started! I hope you enjoyed watching me paint
this painting and you learned a few things along the way. next we're going to take this and we're going to put a nice beautiful wood frame
around it and we're going to head to my wood shop to do that let's go! All right so my thoughts lessons learned.

This project was a lot of fun. I got to tap into my painting which i haven't done in a long time One thing that I have a hard time with
personally is I like to overwork my paint and my
paintbrush and blend things in and this painting project really
required you just to slap the paint on and just let it be where it was. That was a little challenging for me but for you it may not be and my painting turned out a little different from the one from Target but hey art subjective. I like mine better honestly. I'd like to know what your thoughts are on that. post in the comments below if you have
any uh art opinions on my style or have some recommendations on how to be better at it, i'd appreciate it. My second thing is the frame. This is the first time that i ever built a frame like this this is a 1/4in thick frame and it's about two inches deep. This was especially challenging for
me because I didn't want to see any nail holes or punctures on the side so I had to secure the frame on the back side and I had some trouble doing that i used a 60 second glue to kind of make sure
everything was held in place over some stress that did crack and you didn't see that but i had actually go back and put it back in and re-glue it and cinch everything up ah, if you have any suggestions on how to frame a frame like this I would love to hear from you i'm really interested on
the best way to do this so just post those in the comments below and if you like this video please smash that thumbs up button i'd appreciate it and as always you know what to do subscribe and hit that bell to get notified when the next video comes out because next Monday we're gonna have our next video and i'd love for you to watch it! Aright until next time i'll see you later! you
